The Session of Redeemer Presbyterian Church is pleased to announce that the Southwest Church Planting Network and South Texas Presbytery have selected Michael Novak to serve as the church planter for a new church plant in Northwest San Antonio slated to begin forming this summer.

IMG_1563 Michael and Rachel Novak have served with Reformed University Fellowship at Trinity University for seven years, and have been members at Redeemer during that time as well. They will finish the semester with RUF at Trinity and plan to move to Northwest San Antonio in the summer. The plant will initially meet for prayer, study and fellowship as a group, working toward a formal worship service starting potentially as early as February of 2018 in the 1604 corridor from I-10 to Culebra.

“We are very excited to launch into this new phase of our ministry in San Antonio,” Michael says. “We have come to deeply love this city and its people. As we look to the Northwest region of San Antonio, we see an area that is experiencing rapid growth. We are hoping to reach and renew this area of the city with the hope of the Gospel. We are eagerly anticipating what God will do through this new church plant to bless and serve that part of our city.”

Redeemer rejoices with the Novaks in this new ministry and encourages members living in this growing part of the city to learn more and consider participating.

A dessert vision night will take place on Tuesday, February 28 at 7 p.m. at the home of Charles and Annette Garcia. Children are welcomed and child care will be provided if desired. For more information or to RSVP, contact Michael Novak at michael.novak@ruf.org.
