Tom Gibbs

Tom founded Redeemer Presbyterian Church (PCA) in 2002 and has served as its Senior Pastor since its beginning.  Prior to San Antonio, Tom and Tara Gibbs ministered to college students, founding and serving for five years as the campus minister of Reformed University Fellowship – the PCA’s national university ministry – at Baylor University in Waco, Texas.

Tom is a graduate of Auburn University (’92) and Tara graduated from the University of Mississippi (’91).  Tom received his Master of Divinity (’97) and Doctor of Ministry ('15) from Covenant Theological Seminary.  They have four children: Anna Catherine, Thomas, Lucy, and Caroline.

Besides serving as pastor for Redeemer and a busy father, Tom enjoys reading, hiking, fly-fishing, running, watching/talking Auburn football, Spurs basketball, Cardinals baseball, exploring San Antonio, trying new craft beers and listening to George Strait, Dwight Yoakam, Fitz and the Tantrums and almost anything from the 80s.
