Why is Redeemer embarking on the Building for the Future Campaign now?
MAKING ROOM NOW AND PLANNING AHEAD
Redeemer's Session and church leadership have prayerfully considered how best to provide room for our growing congregation and plan ahead for the next phase of Redeemer's growth. From that process has come the Building for the Future Campaign.
The campaign has three main goals:
- To expand our current children's ministry area ($310,000)
- To pay off the mortgage on the 903 N. St. Mary's facility ($2.7 million)
- To make a large payment on the River City Federal Credit Union building at 601 Augusta ($450,000+), so that we can be ready, by God's leading, to expand into the full city block.
A growing congregation
Since moving into our Downtown home in the former YMCA building, Redeemer has experienced dramatic growth, with membership increasing by 54 percent since 2014.
This growth is already testing our current facilities. If we continue to grow at this rate, the church will reach 1,000 members by 2019. We must begin to lay a groundwork to provide for this growth.
on the horizon
Potential future plans for the Redeemer campus include a new sanctuary to seat 650, more parking, green spaces for the church and our community, and expanded space for youth ministry. Acting faithfully today allows Redeemer to wisely prepare for the future.

It is exciting to see what God has done over 15 years at Redeemer, and to dream about how He can use us for His glory in the city.
God has been faithful to Redeemer, and his faithfulness enlists our participation. We invite you to join us in the Building for the Future campaign!
