Welcome to Redeemer’s Youth Ministry

Redeemer’s Youth Ministry exists to help San Antonio students cultivate hearts that are captured by the grace of Jesus Christ and renewed minds that are filtering every aspect of their existence through the unchanging grid of the Scriptures.

Our goals are to:

Engage students with the Word of God so that they grow in God’s grace and develop a distinctively Christian world and life view

Connect students to the wider church for fellowship, and to

Reach out to the city of San Antonio with the compassion of Jesus Christ so that students recognize their responsibility for mission, witness, and service in the world.

It is our conviction that the Gospel’s message of grace—that sinners are forgiven and restored by God through the work of Jesus Christ—is not only that which brings us into relationship with God, but also that which grows us to maturity. Consequently, we believe that this message of God’s grace is what students most need to hear.

Matt Beham leads Redeemer’s Youth Ministry Team. He brings incredible enthusiasm and love for the families of Redeemer church.

Christian Education Hour
We will meet Sundays following the Worship Service. Both Junior High and Senior High will be going through a study of the Gospel of John. Our theme comes from John 20:31: "These are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name."

Community Groups
Community Groups exist that we may grow in the word, in fellowship with one another, in our gifts, and in outreach to our friends. We will meet together to converse about the things we are learning in the Gospel of John, in hopes that the Gospel would penetrate more deeply in our hearts. This is a good chance to make friends in a casual environment. Our Community Groups are split into four groups by age and gender: Jr. High Girls and Guys, and Sr. High Girls and Guys. Events
This semester, we have a number of events, some of which will be only Jr. High or Sr. High, and some of which will be mixed. The purpose of these events is not just to have fun, but also to have shared lives and experiences, through which we can get to know and love one another. Some events that you will see this semester include: Field Days, Youth Lunches, Bowling, a Super Bowl Party, Day Trips, Movie Nights, and many more. Please consult the calendar for more details. Keep an eye out for upcoming information about our Summer Camp and fundraisers, as well as mercy ministry opportunities in the city!

Retreats
The Senior High students will go on a retreat February 19-21 to T Bar M on Lake Travis. The cost is $80, and is due by Wednesday, February 17th. Contact Matt Beham for more details.
