Redeemer Announces New Music Ministries Director

Redeemer is excited to announce that Joel Cook will become the new Director of Music Ministries, officially starting on Monday, August 25.

Originally from Orlando, FL, Joel is a graduate of Trinity University (BA Music, 2008) where he studied voice and cello. During his time at Trinity Joel was very involved with RUF, under the leadership of Justin Clement, and regularly attended Redeemer Church, even leading worship occasionally. Joel also met his wife, Emily, at Trinity and they married after her graduation in June 2009. Soon after graduation Joel and Emily moved to Hawaii to serve as the Music Ministry Director at Trinity Presbyterian Church and to teach music at Trinity Christian School.

Emily and Joel are rejoicing in the birth of their newborn son, Theodore, who came on May 24, 2014.

In addition to serving the music ministry of Redeemer, returning to San Antonio gives Joel the opportunity to pursue a Master of Divinity Degree at Redeemer Theological Seminary in Austin.

While they're arrival is still a few weeks off, please begin praying now for Joel, Emily and Theodore and their transition to Redeemer and San Antonio!
