We want you to know about three Spiritual Formation classes for adults starting this Sunday, September 10th, including one new class.

Spiritual Formation I - Christianity Explored: This is an 8-week discussion class designed to be beneficial for those just beginning to consider the Christian faith and the mature believer alike. Even if you have been a believer for a long time, this class offers a helpful, renewing return to the heart of the Gospel and equips us to speak to others about Christ.

Spiritual Formation III - Faith and Vocation: In this class we reflect on the connections that exist between who we are and the work we do. Is work meaningful? Does God value our work? We’ll discuss calling, gifting, vocation, and stewardship in ways that seek to unite all the various aspects of what we do with the depth of who we are in Christ.

Spiritual Formation VIII - Faith and Family: New this fall, this class will be both an examination of God’s plan and purpose for families and a look at practical challenges facing all parents. Topics will include discipline, discipleship, parenting young children, parenting adolescents, talking to our children about sex and sexual sin, technology and more.

Redeemer’s Christian education classes for adults are called Spiritual Formation classes because in each aspect of our life at Redeemer, the goal is to see us become more and more like Jesus. Each of these classes offer important opportunities to gain deeper knowledge and delve into what it means to follow Christ together.

At Redeemer, we place a high value on worship. Part of this emphasis on worship is our conviction that it is important for adults and children alike to consistently participate in the worship service so that we may be formed as worshippers of God. With adult and children’s CE classes back in the schedule, we encourage families to prioritize attending the 9 a.m. service together with your family and then stay for the children’s and adult’s Christian Education hour.

CE classes meet during the 10:45 a.m. hour, concurrent to the second service. We look forward to seeing you in a CE class on Sunday!
