2024 Ministry Report

The LORD is my chosen portion and my cup; you hold my lot. The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance. (Psalm 16:5-6)

Dear Redeemer Members and Friends, The verses above from Psalm 16 are some of my favorites in all of Scripture. David speaks of that which gives him lasting joy and hope — that the Lord himself is his portion and inheritance. David went from the sheepfold to the king’s chair, knew great victories in battle, toppled giants, had massive sins and failures forgiven — all with God’s help, all by his mercies. But what David revels in, where his hope lies, is in God himself. David’s joy, whether as shepherd boy or warrior king, is that God is his portion and inheritance.

Through Christ, God is our portion and inheritance as well, as 2024 has drawn to a close and 2025 begins. God blessed Redeemer with rich growth in 2024: in worship attendance and Christian education involvement; in children’s and youth ministries; in men’s and women’s Bible studies and in church-wide conferences. Our Spanish-Speaking Ministry added to its numbers week by week. We have supported missionary partners around the world and church planters and campus ministers closer to home. And we enjoyed a bountiful year financially, as God’s generosity was displayed in your giving, allowing us to give more help to our ministry partners, and to prepare well for the year ahead.

In all of these avenues of life and ministry at Redeemer, people are being drawn to Jesus, to newly confess him as Savior and Lord, and to more fully follow him. Experiencing Jesus is the great treasure in all of this for all of us.  Whether you joined this congregation years ago or are new to Redeemer, we thank you for sharing in God’s worship and work with us. You are an essential part of the story the Lord is authoring here at Redeemer, as the lines fall to us in pleasant places.

Happy Anniversary, Redeemer!
