RPC Staff Update

In December 2025, Redeemer announced that Executive Director of Operations Jeremy Whitley accepted a call to serve in a similar role at Atlanta Westside Presbyterian Church, a large, growing sister congregation in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) in Atlanta, Georgia. Following Jeremy's more than a decade of faithful service to RPC in this role, church leadership was faced with filling this vacancy. The decision that was made was to divide up Jeremy’s responsibilities among various existing staff members and lay leaders. As Lead Pastor Paul Hahn notes, “There really wasn’t a way that we were going to replace Jeremy with one person, with a ‘search for a replacement, then plug and play’ mindset. Not with replacing someone like Jeremy. We knew we needed to take a creative, layered approach. I am encouraged by where we have landed, with many people stepping into new or expanded roles. I believe we are positioned well to continue moving forward, by God’s grace, in our shared life and mission in 2026 and beyond.”
Norma Choate joined the RPC staff in 2016 as Assistant Administrator, working closely with Jeremy on day-to-day church operations. Norma has become the Church Administrator and will now take the lead in the operational duties of Redeemer. Norma and her husband, Caleb, are members of Alamo Heights Baptist Church, where they have served since 2007. Norma describes her enthusiasm for her new position on the staff by saying, “I'm excited to work alongside Eric (RPC Facilities Coordinator) and Suzette (RPC Bookkeeper) and continue to learn more about what makes Redeemer such a beautiful place to be. I love Redeemer, and I am so grateful that I get to continue to serve here. I look forward to the growth and opportunity of this new role.”

With Norma's increased duties in church operations, she will now pass along the tasks of filling the reception desk as you enter the church office, as well as producing our weekly worship bulletins. Kerrie Tilton, the current RPC Children’s Ministry Coordinator, will take on the production of the weekly bulletin while maintaining her current role in children's ministry. Membership Coordinator and Nursery Coordinator Georgianna Hildebrand will split time with Kerrie every week, managing the front desk. Kerrie's new job title will be Children’s Ministry Coordinator and Church Receptionist, and she expresses her excitement about her additional duties, saying, “I’m excited to be a part of the warm hospitality at Redeemer. We are a welcoming church, and I look forward to continuing that tradition behind the front desk!” Kerrie has been on staff at Redeemer since 2024 and is married to Jacob Tilton, RPC Director of Music Ministries. Jacob and Kerrie have three grown children.
Bryant McGee, RPC Associate Pastor of Congregational Care, will be moving from a part-time to a full-time role, taking on additional responsibilities as well. In his current role, Bryant assists in weekly worship, coordinates Redeemer’s Community Groups, Shepherding Groups, and Support Groups, and manages the church prayer list and assists in organizing care meals. While continuing to oversee these areas of congregational care ministry, Bryant will now be taking on numerous executive director responsibilities. His new job title will be Associate Pastor of Executive Administration and Congregational Care, and some of his new responsibilities will include staff development, leading staff meetings, serving as clerk of Redeemer’s Commission on Strategic Governance, and helping organize and administrate staff and congregational life in numerous other ways. Bryant and his wife, Jennifer, have been at Redeemer since April of 2022, when they initially came to help Redeemer during Redeemer’s season of transition from the exit of RPC’s founding pastor, Tom Gibbs, who now serves as President of Covenant Theological Seminary. Bryant was later installed as an assistant pastor in 2023 and then installed as an associate in 2024.

Redeemer elder and longtime member Jeff Brouillard is helping voluntarily on the financial side of things. Jeff has already been serving as the church treasurer, elected by the diaconate and approved by the church session for this role. He is now volunteering to work alongside Bookkeeper, Suzette Dement, to give executive oversight of the church’s finances weekly. Jeff was a huge help to the pastoral staff and session in putting together Redeemer’s 2026 budget. Jeff is married to Sara, who serves as Director of Children’s Ministries at Redeemer; the Brouillards are blessed with three wonderful children and have been members of Redeemer since 2007.

Erin Hurt is expanding her role in the young adult ministry at Redeemer, giving more hours and leadership while serving under Co-Lead Pastor Matt Beham. She will be taking up the title of Director of Young Adult Ministries. Erin is married to Redeemer elder Morriss Hurt; they have been members at Redeemer since 2017 and are an encouragement to so many in our congregation. The Hurts are blessed with three wonderful sons and a nephew who currently lives with them.

Please join us in giving thanks to God for these staff members and volunteers stepping up in a time of need and opportunity, and let us all pray for them and encourage them in their new roles!
