Redeemer Church Family,

It is with both gratitude and a measure of sadness that we share this news: Andrew Puhl will be concluding his time as our Youth Boys' Discipleship Coordinator on May 31st as he transitions to full-time study at Reformed Theological Seminary. We are sincerely thankful for the Lord’s clear call on his life and excited for what lies ahead — and at the same time, we will deeply miss his presence and ministry among us.

For the past two and a half years, Andrew has served our middle and high school students with faithfulness, humility, and a steady love for Christ and His Word. He has invested countless hours meeting with students, opening the Scriptures, asking thoughtful questions, and helping them grow in confidence as readers of the Bible. Much of his work has been quiet and relational — the kind of ministry that often happens out of sight but bears lasting fruit.

It has been a joy to serve alongside him. We have watched the Lord sharpen his gifts, deepen his convictions, and further clarify his call to pastoral ministry. While it is hard to say goodbye, we are thankful that Redeemer has been part of this chapter in his preparation for a lifetime of shepherding Christ’s church.

I asked Andrew to share a brief word with you:

“It is with mixed emotions that my time with Redeemer has come to an end. While I am excited to attend seminary in person, I am also sad to leave Redeemer. I thank God in His kindness for bringing me here, and I look forward to enjoying my remaining time with you.”

Please join us in thanking the Lord for Andrew’s ministry and in praying for him, Sarah, Sparrow, and Shiloh as they enter this new season. Pray that the Lord would strengthen, provide for, and guide them in the months ahead.

We have already begun the search for a new Youth Boys’ Discipleship Coordinator. Please pray that God would provide the right man to continue serving our students well.

With gratitude,

Oscar Palin
Director of Youth Ministries
