RPC Staff Update

Redeemer is pleased to announce Cole Kirby will join the RPC Staff as Director of Church Planting Residency starting this week.
“As I step into this role at Redeemer, I am looking forward to serving the people of Redeemer, having opportunities to use my gifts, and learning from those around me. My hope and expectations are that this will help me to prepare effectively for my next season of ministry. I feel blessed to have this opportunity, and I’m honored to serve alongside such a great team.”
Cole is married to Anna, and they have a son, Nathaniel. Cole grew up in central Texas and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin. After graduating, he moved to Houston to join a church plant called Sojourn Montrose, where he served as a member, deacon, church-planting resident, and later as the Pastor of Teaching and Equipping. After serving in Houston for eleven years, Cole sensed a calling to church planting in San Antonio. His family moved to San Antonio in 2025 to begin the church-planting process. Sojourn Montrose commissioned him to relocate to San Antonio, build partnerships, and eventually establish a biblically faithful and healthy church. Cole also recently earned his Master’s degree from Reformed Theological Seminary. He is in the process of transferring his ordination to the PCA and hopes to finalize his transfer later this year.
While he is here, Cole will be helping the Young Adults Ministry, assisting with the Summer Fellows Program, and teaching some Christian Education classes. In addition to these responsibilities, he will be learning and preparing to plant a new PCA church in San Antonio. His long-term goal is to plant a church in the next 2-4 years.
Join us in welcoming Cole and encouraging him in his new role!
