Summer Interns

Each summer, Redeemer welcomes interns to help the Youth Ministry. This summer, we are excited to welcome Hannah Hailey and Jack Flenniken as our Interns. Hannah and Jack will be attending youth events and Bible studies, and will help out on our RYM trips.

Hannah Hailey

Hannah Hailey is an Education Major (4th-8th grade) at Texas A&M University and will be a senior this fall. She is a native of College Station, where she grew up attending Redeemer College Station, where her dad, Ben Hailey, serves as Lead Pastor.

"I am excited to be working with the Redeemer San Antonio Youth Ministry, serving youth and helping them navigate what it means to live in a Gospel community."

Jack Flenniken

Jack Flenniken is a student at West Virginia University, majoring in Management Information Systems. He is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and grew up attending Redeemer Cleveland. Jack currently attends Crossroads Church in Morgantown.

"I'm excited to build relationships with kids in the youth program throughout the summer and get experience in full-time ministry through the lens of the local church."

Summer Fellows

The purpose of this program is to grow Christian college students in their faith and vocation as they seek to become Kingdom-minded citizens in the working world. To do this, we match each fellow with an internship and a Redeemer member in their field of study; hold a weekly class on their purpose in the world; connect our fellows to Sunday morning service and worship at Redeemer; and facilitate dinner discussions with Redeemer members on the subjects of faith and work. Last year was the first summer that Redeemer hosted the Fellows program. Please join us in praying for and welcoming this year's Fellows!

Erin Hurt, who is leading the program this year alongside Cole Kirby, says, "We at Redeemer San Antonio praise the Lord for furthering the goodness of his kingdom through his people as they work in their vocations all around this beautiful city. We are so grateful for this year's group of fellows who are bringing to Redeemer their gifts and talents to be honed for God's glory this summer. Please thank the Lord for our Internship hosts and other caring Redeemer members who are answering the call to teach the younger generations (Dt. 6:6-9; Ps. 78:4-6). Please also pray for all of Redeemer to teach, love, and care for the Fellows this summer for God's glory and our joy."

Naomi Beaugh

Naomi Beaugh currently works as the front desk manager at a local embroidery business and does amateur graphic design on the side. Prior to her current job, she spent a year studying graphic design at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, then decided not to continue with traditional schooling. Naomi will be interning with Stitch Monkeys.

"I am looking forward to participating in this new outlet of outreach."

John Connell

John Connell is a senior studying Materials Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University. He is a native of northwest Austin. John attends Redeemer Presbyterian Church-College Station and is heavily involved with Texas A&M RUF. He will be interning with Lawson Jesse at Troy Jesse Construction.

"I know that I belong in the classroom and eventually hope to teach. I'm incredibly excited to be involved with Redeemer this summer!"

Avery Knudsen

Avery Knudsen is a student at Trinity University studying biology. He plans to become an Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon. Avery is a San Antonio native and attends Mission City Church. He is the president of the Young Life chapter at Trinity University. Avery will be interning with Zack Burkhart at I Care and with John Fitch at Heritage Pediatrics.

"I am extremely excited to see where faith meets medicine, and specifically, how you can live out your faith through your work."

Courtney McHenry

Courtney McHenry is a junior studying Economics and Finance at Trinity University. She is a native of Fort Worth and currently attends both Commission Church and Redeemer. Courtney will be interning with Charles Leddy at Presidian Hospitality.

"I'm excited to be part of a program and serve in a church that is dedicated to fostering a community where fellows, like me, can grow our faith as we enter adulthood and the workforce. I'm looking forward to hearing from devout, older believers about their own wisdom and how they stay loyal followers of Jesus in a world that does not always encourage or align with that motive."

Bailey Moffett

Bailey Moffett is a Sophomore at Georgia Institute of Technology, majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Technology Management. She also has a minor in Leadership Studies, which she completed while working at a nonprofit in Budapest last summer. Bailey is a native of Peachtree City, Georgia, and is currently a member of Atlanta Westside Presbyterian Church. Bailey serves on the worship team at Atlanta Westside and the campus ministry she's involved in, Campus Outreach. She will be interning with Jacob Tilton at Redeemer Presbyterian Church and with Morriss Hurt at Tag Coffee.

"I'm looking forward to learning how God works through all kinds of people in all kinds of workplaces to glorify Him and serve others."

Andrew Simms

Andrew Simms is a senior majoring in Materials Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University. He is from Elysian Fields, Texas. Andrew is heavily involved in RUF at Texas A&M and attends Westminster Presbyterian Church in Bryan, where he helps with the youth program. He will be interning with Lawson Jesse at Troy Jesse Construction.

"I'm really looking forward to learning what it looks like to actively get plugged into the life of a new church."
