Matt Beham

Assistant Pastor of Youth & Children's Ministries

Matt was born in London, England to American parents, and found himself in Houston, Louisiana, and Scotland before making his way to Trinity University in San Antonio (M.A. ’07). Along the way, he met Haley in the sandbox in Houston at age 6, and she would later become his wife. Matt and Haley were married in February 2008, and Matt joined Redeemer Presbyterian Church as a Youth Intern. Three years later he started taking classes at Redeemer Seminary in Austin (M.Div. ‘16), and was ordained and installed as the Assistant Pastor of Youth Ministries at Redeemer in February 2016. Haley and Matt welcomed their daughter, Elliotte Suzanne in 2014, and are so thankful to be surrounded with such a beautiful church family at Redeemer.

Matt loves Youth Ministry, because it was through a Youth group that he became a Christian, and wants to extend the love of Christ to his students and their friends so that God is glorified. Matt believes that Youth ministry is deeply important because our students are growing up very quickly, and they are in need of a guide versed in the Word of God to help them navigate the difficult waters of adolescence. On his day off, you’ll find him on the golf course, and he still finds a way to lace up his soccer cleats and relive his glory days on the field, ruing the day his Trinity Tigers lost in Penalty Kicks in the National Championship Final.
