Redeemer is pleased to announce that Amy Arguello, current RPC Ministries Coordinator, will step into a new role as Director of Women’s Ministry effective July 1st. Current Director of Women’s Ministry Tara Gibbs will be moving to St. Louis, Missouri in June, where RPC Senior Pastor Tom Gibbs will serve as president of Covenant Theological Seminary.

Sarah Doerfler, RPC Special Projects Coordinator and Assistant to the Senior Pastor, will move into the role of RPC Ministries Coordinator on July 1st.

Amy Arguello has served as Ministries Coordinator since 2019, providing administrative support to RPC pastors Victor Martinez and Brad Tubbesing and managing logistics for Redeemer’s largest events including Boxes of Blessing and the Redeemer Christmas Party. She has also served as a group leader for Women’s Bible Study, speaker at the 2021 RPC Connect Women’s Conference, and part of the women’s ministry leadership team. Amy Arguello New photo

In her time as Director of Women’s Ministry, Tara Gibbs has led a reorganization of Redeemer’s Women’s Bible Studies which greatly increased participation, and further adapted the study format to include virtual options for Bible studies in 2020 as the ministry navigated the Covid-19 pandemic. Tara also wrote two original Bible studies published by Redeemer.

Tara expressed thanksgiving for Amy’s commitment to multiplying the message of the Gospel to welcome others in, and for the women of Redeemer.

“I have watched Amy connect to women and connect women to other women in our ministry, and I am so excited about her taking this role,” Tara says. “Our women’s ministry is beyond my wildest imaginings of what the Lord could have done. It is such a joy to see women ministering to so many other women with a heart for the Gospel, the glory of God and the good of their sisters, both inside and outside of the church. I am sad to leave it, but I’m thankful I am leaving it in good hands.”

Amy gave thanks for Tara’s leadership and mentorship of Redeemer’s women, especially her tireless creativity during the pandemic to keep women connected and engaged in Scripture together.

“Tara has been such gift to women’s ministry at Redeemer,” Amy says. “Her love for Jesus, the Gospel, and being a woman of prayer has had an immeasurable effect here that we will hold dear forever. I thank God for the opportunity to help Redeemer women’s ministry continue and build on this path.”

Sarah Doerfler has been on the RPC staff since 2019. As she moves into the RPC Ministries Coordinator position, some job duties related to Sunday morning and previously associated with the ministries coordinator role will become a new part-time position at Redeemer. The new position of Sunday Morning Logistics Coordinator is open.
