Redeemer is pleased to announce that Jeremy Whitley will fill the newly formed position of Executive Director of Church Operations. Jeremy will assume his duties on September 1st, which coincides with Harriet Peavy, Redeemer’s longtime office manager, transitioning to serving solely as Redeemer’s bookkeeper and personal assistant to Senior Pastor, Tom Gibbs.

Since 2005, Jeremy, and his wife, Angel, have been active members at Redeemer. Jeremy has served both as a deacon and most recently as elder on the Session. Jeremy and Angel also serve as teachers for Redeemer’s Christianity Explored class, which is offered each fall.

Many of you may know Jeremy as Co-Owner/Operator of Fleet Feet Sports San Antonio. Prior to this, Jeremy worked as an executive/officer at USAA for 15 years. Combining for almost 20 years, these positions have given Jeremy important experiences in business management, information technology, marketing, employee and team development and community relations. “In his new position,” Pastor Tom notes, “Jeremy will be able to draw from his rich, private sector background and join it to his passion and gifts for Gospel-centered ministry to help Redeemer better accomplish its mission in the city.”

In God’s perfect wisdom, this position opened at the same time that Jeremy and Angel had decided to step away from their small business to spend more time with the family. Redeemer could not be more excited about this new chapter in the life of the staff and congregation!
