Recently, severe rains have battered the nation of Peru, causing widespread flooding in areas that usually receive a half-inch of rain each year. In the city of Trujillo, which has experienced flash flooding after 10 days of heavy storms, virtually every significant avenue and street has turned into a raging river. It can be daunting to think about how to meaningfully embrace the season of Lent with your children.
