Dear Redeemer Members and Friends,

Today Redeemer celebrates 19 years of worshipping together as a congregation. It has been truly amazing to see how God has blessed our church and our city through nearly two decades of ministry together, and there is much to be excited about. As we reflect on 2021, the amount of change our church experienced in such a short amount of time was sobering. Even so, God has provided. Our shared ministry together continues: we are hearing God’s word preached, walking with each other through life’s joys and challenges, loving our city and region, and gathering together to worship our God.

As our beloved Senior Pastor, Tom Gibbs, transitioned to a new role as President of Covenant Theological Seminary, we took an essential step in the life of our church. The congregation elected a pastoral search committee. This group of four women and four men is leading us through the search process for our next Senior Pastor. We invite you to participate in our search process through prayer, continually praying to our faithful God that He would be our path forward. As Paul charges us in Romans 12:12, let us “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”

Toward the end of Jesus’ earthly ministry, He prays for His church, “All mine are yours and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them.” (John 17:10) What a high calling! We are His, and because we are His there is still much work to be done as we seek to show forth the beauty and glory of Jesus to each other and a watching world. As we turn to 2022, let’s envision the potential abundance of our continued ministry together! We invite you to jump in with us, engaging, learning, loving, laboring, and worshipping together for the sake of God’s kingdom.

Happy Anniversary, Redeemer!
